What are some changes
I might notice?
Often these basic symptoms
may be accompanied by a change in behavior. While these changes can
be very subtle or vague, a person experiencing basic symptoms or their
friends and family may notice:
- Discomfort out in public/spending more time alone
- Less motivation
- Dropping out of activities
- Drop in grades at school
- Not working as carefully/loss of employment
- Using drugs and alcohol
- More mystical/philosophical or religious ideas
- More argumentative/blameful/challenging towards family
- Blank expressions, not responding to questions or frequently asking for questions
to be repeated
- Trouble sleeping
- Impaired hygiene
- More worried/anxious
- Easily overwhelmed and more sensitive to stress
- Refusing to spend time with friends/family for example to eat meals
